streetcar. lisbon had the first system to scale hills, still running today as an everyday mode of transportation.
my favorite part of lisbon. a church whose infill walls were destroyed in the 1755 earthquake and now all remains is the structure, the arches.
dad and i, at the top of one of lisbon's elevators that help people scale the 7 hills of the city....or really just for tourists. interestingly enough, the transportation pass includes elevators.

great city. super old. really walkable. scaled to the human. streetcar charm. and the food is slightly better than spain's, but that's not hard at all people....
