happy thanksgiving. i could definitely go for some thanksgiving dinner. anything besides ham. the spanish are obsessed with ham. and i am over it. if they had mashed potatoes, they'd put ham in them, i can promise you that. and if they did roast turkies, they'd stuff them with ham, and probably some bacon too.

best wishes and love, to my mother on her birthday. after being in arizona, and now in spain, i wish that i could help her celebrate for once. one of these days. here or there, happy birthday, to the person who gives me the best gift that can be given, her support--without fail, no matter the mood, conversation, or day of the week-- a gift i'd like to return. haha, or should i say reciprocate? happy birthday, mom. love always, tamara.

Well, that was a very nice birthday message. Very sweet. We really enjoy the blog and your pictures too.
We are thinking of you all the time and hoping that you are doing well and getting a lot from your experience. We miss you and your funny jokes. Make sure you give us your shopping list for LL Bean and Wegmans. Ha.

second, i am more than with ya on the ham thing. i am just not a fan of ham... but then they go and cure it?!?! yuck.
third, welcome to the blogopshere. i don't know if you've read paul's latest, but we actually have to head back to the u.s. in a week, and we're pretty bummed... but now that i know that i can get my spanish fix through your blog, the pain is eased... at least a little bit.
They are definitely way too into the jamon over there...to the point of disgust! I had the same problem there last summer. Hang in there!
